Catalog and imports

Import a price list for any vendor

Use the QuoteDeck price-list template to import products and accessories for brands without a native price book import.

Administrators5 min readPlan feature

Availability: Vendor catalog imports are available on eligible plans.

When to use the template

Xerox, Konica Minolta, and Lexmark price books import as they arrive from the vendor. Every other brand uses the QuoteDeck price-list template: copy the vendor's SKUs and prices into it, then import it with the Other vendor (template) option.

A template file named for Xerox, Konica Minolta, or Lexmark still imports through that brand's own import.

Template columns

  • Family: the equipment family or model group the row belongs to.
  • Category: the row type, such as MFP, Printer, Accessory, Consumable, Software, or Warranty.
  • ProductCode: the vendor SKU.
  • Description: the product description your reps see.
  • MSRP and Cost: the list price and your dealer cost.
  • PricingAgreementID (optional): the price agreement a row's cost belongs to. Leave it blank to use the agreement you pick during the import.
  • Optional product FSMA default columns, such as Default FSMA Plan Code and Default FSMA Base Rate, set a product's default service plan values.
Keep in mind: Replace the two example rows in the downloaded template with your own before you upload it.

Import the template

  1. 1Open Admin Tools, then Import.
  2. 2Choose Catalog and agreement pricing, then Other vendor (template).
  3. 3Select Download template and fill in one row per SKU.
  4. 4Pick the vendor the products belong to. If the vendor isn't listed, add it under Admin Tools, Vendors first.
  5. 5Upload the completed file.
  6. 6Review the equipment families QuoteDeck suggests, and resolve any rows that need attention.
  7. 7Confirm the import and review the completion summary.

What the template doesn't import

Service and click rates aren't part of a catalog import. Unless you fill in the optional FSMA default columns, the template writes no service pricing, and a file without them hasn't failed. Set up FSMA and service pricing separately after the products are in your catalog.
