Readiness is reason-first
Quote readiness combines saved quote completeness, pricing data, policy checks, approval state, and send preflight. The card names the first actionable reasons instead of showing an unexplained score.
- Quote incomplete means required quote data is missing, such as a product.
- Cost data required means margin can't be interpreted until missing Cost Basis is resolved.
- Approval required means the quote can be edited but must receive the recorded approval before customer delivery.
- Not ready to send means a blocking preflight item still needs attention.
Approval flow
- 1Open Review and read each policy check and its explanation.
- 2Correct data errors or revise pricing and terms when appropriate.
- 3If a valid exception remains, select Submit for approval.
- 4While the quote is pending, wait for the manager decision or use the available nudge action when appropriate.
- 5If changes are requested, edit the quote and submit it again.
- 6When approved, confirm the preflight is green and continue to Cover & Send.
Common triggers
Your dealer controls many approval conditions. Typical reasons include margin or selling-price policy, discounts, unusual lease terms, dealer-paid documentation fees, or financed amounts above the configured limit.
Keep in mind: An approval applies to the quote conditions that were reviewed. If pricing or terms change afterward, QuoteDeck may require a fresh evaluation or approval.
