Manage companies, accounts, and locations

Create the customer record

1. 1Open Companies and choose New company.
2. 2Enter the company identity and primary address.
3. 3Assign the company type, territory, and owner information available to your role.
4. 4Add additional locations for delivery, billing, or site-specific quoting.

Account relationships

Companies can have parent and child relationships and multiple named locations. Use those relationships to keep a single customer history while still quoting the correct site.

• Use a location name people recognize.
• Keep billing and delivery addresses distinct when they differ.
• Review territory and customer class because they can affect available pricing or service.

Archived records

Archiving keeps historical information visible while removing the record from normal active work. Restore an archived record when the same customer returns instead of creating an unnecessary duplicate.
